Corporate event example: A trip to Edinburgh’s Royal Mile

Take a trip to Edinburgh’s Royal Mile. The Royal Mile as the name suggests is a Scots mile long and runs between Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace. Your guests and yourself will be staying at the G&V Hotel, which is the only 5-star hotel on the Royal Mile and has prime location in the heart of Edinburgh Old Town. The recently refurbished hotel has luxurious décor and is just steps away from Edinburgh Castle which is built upon an ancient extinct volcano.  To start off your trip guests can meet in the new G&V hotel bar, Epicurean, for drinks ranging from their diverse menu of Scottish and Mediterranean spirits as well as cocktails made by the capitals finest mixologists which are blended from home grown flowers and herbs. A short coach transfer to Ocean Terminal is then made to have dinner on board the Royal Yacht Britannia which served the Royal Family for over 44 years.  The food is consistently at a royal standard and guests will even receive a personalised invitation card, inscribed with the Royal Britannia’s crest.  After a regal evening, guests can then return to the G&V Hotel for some nightcap drinks.

Saturday begins with a traditional Scottish Breakfast at G&V Hotel before a day spent soaking up the fun and colourful atmosphere of Edinburgh and some optional pre-planned activities including Edinburgh Castle, Glenkinchie Distillery, G&V Spa, The Edinburgh Dungeon and The Palace of Holyrood house. Lunch comes with flexibility as allowances can be issued for guests to enjoy a light lunch at their own leisure or a group lunch can be arranged at the hotel.  Before an evening dinner at Edinburgh Castle, kilts are to be fitted for gents and sashes for ladies to infuse your trip with Scottish tradition. On arrival at the castle, guests will be greeted by a piper and flaming torches before being escorted to the Banqueting Hall for canapes and drinks. Later in the evening a traditional 4 course Scottish Dinner will be served, including the addressing of the Haggis followed by a wee dram! The evening’s entertainment will consist of traditional Scottish dancing with an opportunity to join in with the Ceilidh.

Sunday brings an end to the trip with time for breakfast and a morning of leisure before making your departure at a time you desire.
