Luxury weekend in London
London is full of breath-taking views, grand accommodation and luxury shopping. AWD’s Luxury Weekend at The Shangri-La at The Shard starts with cocktails at the GŎNG, which is located on the 52nd floor and holds the title of the highest hotel bar in Western Europe. After you’ve settled in you can then enjoy dinner in an exclusive dining room with floor to ceiling windows, perfect for viewing the skyline. After dinner, drinks can be enjoyed in GŎNG, where the cocktail menu offers a wide selection of drinks inspired by the greatest directors of all time including George Lucas and Steven Spielberg.
On Saturday start your day off with a delectable breakfast at The Shard between 7am and 11am. You can then fill your day with sightseeing, shopping and London experiences, including the London Eye which can all be arranged for you. Activities in London are endless; visit famous locations such as Buckingham Palace or add a touch of retail therapy to your trip with shopping at Harrods.
After a day of exploration, return to the Shangri-La for some free time and relaxation before spending the evening in an exclusive room at a London West End Theatre with pre-show and interval drinks. After a delightful show and upon return to the Shangri-La, enjoy dinner in Hutong in The Shard. The award-winning restaurant serves northern Chinese cuisine with an interior of red lanterns and hand carved wooden ‘Moon Gates’ to match, all surrounded by the Shards famous floor to ceiling windows allowing a panoramic view of London. The rest of your evening can then be spent in GŎNG before turning in for the night, ready for the following day.
The final day, Sunday, consists of The Shards delicious breakfast on the morning before a relaxing hotel check out. To finish off your mini-break you can enjoy the city in style with lunch on board a River Thames Cruise or lunch at the OXO Towers for some light jazz music over an enjoyable finale group lunch. We then have to sadly say goodbye to the city and make a relaxing departure home.
