The Return Of In-Person Events: Your Questions Answered

Launch My Event

Coronavirus restrictions are finally easing. Therefore, it’s safe to say that businesses are itching for the return of live events. With thousands of employees having to work from home for over a year now, a face-to-face catch up is well overdue. But, the return of live events also provides companies with the perfect opportunity to reward and motivate staff after an undoubtedly turbulent year. At AWD, we specialise in hosting live events. We can provide companies with end-to-end event management with as little or as much support as they require.

One Of The Leading Event Management Companies In The West Midlands

We’ve spent the last year fully adapting our skills and resources to ensure we can plan and host live events with new coronavirus precautions in place. In addition, we are proud to be able to guarantee safe and dynamic event management that drives business goals. Whilst also keeping attendees safe and happy.

We know that the return of live events can be a little daunting for some. And understandably, you may have some questions if you are considering hosting a live event for your corporation. With this in mind, we’ve answered three common questions that people have regarding hosting live events.

1. How Long Can The Guest List Be?

The legal number of people who can attend a live event in the UK has changed a lot over the last few months. But in England itself, attendee caps have been lifted, along with social distancing requirements and face coverings. Therefore, there is a lot of free rein in terms of how many attendees can be invited to your live corporate event. But, it is worth remembering that we all have a responsibility to keep each other safe whilst the virus continues to spread. So, if your guest list is long, be sure to take plenty of precautions to keep your event COVID-safe.

2. How Do I Make My Event Safe?

There are certain things that can be done to keep your event COVID-secure and keep your guests’ minds at ease. Even if social distancing isn’t required, consider creating a floor plan that can account for social distancing. Alternatively, designate a space that can be available for those wishing to socially distance. Installing hand sanitising stations is another way that you can increase safety when hosting live events. Having staff on hand to manage the flow of people and clean down communal and high-touch areas is also highly beneficial.

3. What Happens If There Is A Confirmed COVID Case At My Event?

We recommend that prior to the event, you gather contact information for all of your attendees. Therefore, This allows you to conduct contact-tracing, should there be a positive case of COVID-19 at your event. Your contact tracing form should include the name, phone number, and email address of each of your guests.
